AMBAR QUIJANO, our contemporary art gallery and cultural project based in Mexico City, is dedicated to presenting a stimulating exhibition programme highlighting the unique practices of both Mexico-based and international artists. More than a gallery, it functions as a dynamic cultural space that fosters critical creation, imagination and collective reflection. Through physical and online exhibitions, the project showcases artists whose relevant, thought-provoking and stimulating practices help shape our personal and shared understanding of the world —within historical and contemporary contexts, and with a vision toward the future.

AMBAR QUIJANO
AMBAR QUIJANO
Ambar Quijano, an independent curator and art advisor dedicated to discovering and supporting unique voices within contemporary art graduated with distinction from both her BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Theory at Chelsea College of Art, London and her MSc in Art Law and Business at Christie’s Education, London. Having taken on a variety of roles within the art world, Ambar has worked in the Post-War and Contemporary Department at Christie’s in London, at Phileas - A Fund for Contemporary Art in Vienna, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, and a sampling of London galleries.
These experiences laid the foundation for the Ambar Quijano gallery and art advisory, through which she has worked with artists internationally and placed works in important private and institutional collections. Additionally, Ambar is committed to diversity through inclusivity and is passionate about highlighting and supporting historically underrepresented artists; as well as reaching and celebrating artists and collectors from a vast array of backgrounds, identities, and ideas.
